I was born in a small rural village in Nepal, where daily survival depended on the land and opportunities were scarce. I lost my father at the age of five and was raised by my mother and an older brother under conditions of deep poverty. Yet, one door remained open to me—public education. That single opportunity changed the course of my life.
With the support of family, teachers, and generous individuals who believed in my potential, I progressed from a village classroom to universities in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the United States, ultimately earning a PhD. Each step of that journey reinforced a simple truth: education does more than teach—it restores hope, builds dignity, and unlocks possibilities that poverty tries to deny.
The America Nepal Educational Foundation was born from gratitude and responsibility. Gratitude for the opportunities I was given, and responsibility to ensure others are not left behind simply because of where they are born. Our foundation is dedicated to strengthening rural public schools by improving infrastructure, integrating modern technology, and providing financial support to students who need it most.
Your support makes this mission possible. Every classroom improved, every student supported, and every school strengthened is an investment in a future where talent and determination—not circumstance—define success. Together, we can transform lives through education and create lasting change for generations to come.
Thank you for believing in the power of education and for standing with us in this mission.
